Haley is a theatre maker with passion for directing, community engagement, facilitation, and acting. Haley and the Anastasis Theatre Co. won the 2023 Nebraska State Arts Award for Access to the Arts. She was also a finalist for the 2023 Inspire Award in the visionary category. Haley worked for 15 years as an actor and the Training and Education Director for R.E.S.P.E.C.T., a touring educational theatre company. 

She has worked as a teaching artist and facilitator with The Union for Contemporary Art, Omaha Community Playhouse, WhyArts, and Creighton Medical School’s Clinical Education and Simulation Center. Her most recent directing credits include: Ways to Win the Woods (co-produced with Great Plains Theatre Commons), By a Thread, and More Than a Number with Anastasis Theatre Co. 

As an actor, favorite regional shows include: Silent Sky (Henrietta TAG award for Outstanding Lead Actress), and Red Summer (Virginia) at the Blue Barn Theatre; and The Blues of Knowing Why (ensemble) at the Union for Contemporary Art. Haley holds a BFA in Theater Performance from Creighton University. She has also trained with the groundbreaking community-engaged theater company Cornerstone based in Los Angeles, CA.

Barry Carman is an artist, administrator, and consultant with over 20 years experience at the intersection of art-making and community-building. As a director, dramaturg, and deviser, he has co-created over 80 productions. Across his leadership and consulting roles, he prioritizes human-centered program development, capacity growth, and strategic partnerships. Barry has been invested in Anastasis since its founding, serving both on the board and as a company member.

Currently based in the Pacific Northwest, Barry has worked regionally with Great Plains Theatre Commons, Old School Shakespeare Omaha, and Opera Omaha, among others. He is the co-founder and former Artistic Director of Witching Hour (Omaha), a devised theater ensemble, and a former core company member of Out of Hand Theater (Atlanta). Most recently, he served as Director of Development for Bag&Baggage Productions (Hillsboro, OR).

He is a fierce advocate for new work, systems change, and dogs. He is queer, formerly incarcerated, formerly unhoused, and formerly unhinged…in no particular order. He loves comic books, sad songs, and his pups - Roscoe, Luna, and Bingus (in no particular order).

Rooted in ancestral strength and guided by purpose, Nature creates spaces where art, storytelling, and restorative practice become pathways to healing, belonging, and transformation. Orphaned at nine and shaped by 20 years navigating foster care and prison, she learned the cost when systems fail to recognize our humanity. Today, she uses creativity, restorative circles, and community practices to restore connection.

Nature’s multidisciplinary art practices explore resilience, identity, lived experience, and restoration. Her work has been exhibited through the LUX Center for Arts and Turbine Flats, and her visual art appeared on the cover of the 2020 edition of Illuminations. Art is a restorative practice, an invitation to witness, reflect, reconnect, and make space for stories often silenced. Her performance work with Anastasis Theatre includes By a Thread, Voices Unbound, and Mirror Trial.

She has shared spoken word through ACLU’s Art from the Inside, contributed art and voice to the Free Earnest Jackson movement, and was featured on the cover of Nebraskans for Peace honoring Malcolm X’s legacy. Her advocacy and contributions supported the collective effort that contributed to his induction into the Nebraska Hall of Fame. Nature is a Restorative Wellness Builder, CPSS, WRAP facilitator with Malone Health & Healing.
